"For reddish locks such as these," he said caressing my hair, "for eyes of the deepest and most sympathetic brown. For skin like the fresh cream of the milk in the morning; for lips indistinguishable from the petals of a rose." The Vampire Armand (Copyright Anne Rice)
This is my vision of Armand (or Amadeo as you wish), I painted him with a red suite as a sign that he was created by Marius. For me, this is the real Armand, not Antonio Banderas (maybe younger and with his normal curly hair).
Painted in Photoshop, with tablet, some references too. Close ups at 100% here: [link] Took me like 3 months to complete it, because I was out of town, but finally is here. Next: Pandora.
Unbelievable that this doesn't have any favs yet.
Seems that most people don't know how much time and effort it costs to make something like this.
I think you did an amazing job sweetie.

In fact I guess that I don't have much traffic like before because I don't upload a lot like a year ago ... I guess is that, but, never mind hehe.
I thought that I could never do a decent painting, really, my doubts were (and still are) huge, but practice is the key here. I take the example of Enayla and Kyena, Enayla has 8 years painting and you see her first paintings and look like plastic (like mine I guess XD) and now her artwork is just amazing, and she told me that it's only practice, practice, practice. Kyena too, in fact in her website had her evolution step by step (unfortunately she doesn't has it anymore =/), is an incentive to all, to practice and try to be better every day (even in every thing you try ), she was bad in draw and in painting, but with tenacity now is a truly master. So, practice, experiment, observe and never give up
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
